Make Your Dreams Your Reality

May 5, 2016 by StephanieS Leave a Comment

People tend to hear the term vision boards and not completely understand the concept.  The purpose of creating a vision board is to help you stay focused on your goals and what you want to manifest in your life.  You can be as creative and as detailed as you want to be when creating your board.  The key to making a vision board is to have a clear idea of what your goals and/or dreams are, what makes you happy and what it is you want to accomplish.  Without clarity your board will have no vision.  Vision boards typically have collages, positive affirmations, pictures and words that represent you and what you desire.  Often times people say they want things in life or to accomplish certain things such as; weight loss, traveling, making six figures, get married, have a family, eat healthy, etc. and by putting these goals and dreams on paper you have a constant reminder of how you can turn your dreams into your reality.  Making your vision board can be fun and doesn’t need to be a stressful task, you can even invite some friends over and have a vision board party.   You will need some magazines you can cut up, glue, scissors, affirmations, and poster board.  Here are some steps to take when creating your vision board:

  1. Reflect and Journal – Identify and write about what your goals and dreams are.   Some questions to ask yourself are; where do I see myself in a year?, what do I want to accomplish?, what are my dreams and goals?, what do I aspire to be?, what do I want to stay motivated about?, what am I struggling with?
  2. Theme – Do you want your vision board to be for your career, health, love life, or all of the above?  Decide and choose pictures, words, affirmations, quotes, etc. that fit your theme and goals.  Then identify how you want to lay out everything on your board.
  3. Show it off – Once your board has been completed hang it somewhere it can be seen at least once per day.  Afterall, you worked hard to create a visual tool to keep you motivated and on track for your goals, dreams, and desires.IMG_5009
